The Crosse blind

A high end bespoke blind made with luxury materials. These blinds celebrate the flexible innovation of vertical blinds without all the plastic cheap materials.  Designed for the Cross's conservatory in Bristol, these blinds use counterweights to close with gravity once released. Many of the components and mechanisms were inspired by boat rigging and sourced from chandleries.

Materials: 100% cotton ivory course linen, steel, Utile wood, rigging cord.

The Multi-directional Blind

Designed as part of Ronni's MA final show in Bristol from initial prototypes of new mechanisms. This blind can move in 4 directions (left or right, up or down) using colour coded rigging cord.

This piece is a mix of kinetic art and functional blind. The multidirectional movement enables the user to block the moving sun at any time of day.

Materials: Ivory silk, Utile wood, steel rods, boating pulleys and boat cord.
